What are the types of skirts?

Since the skirt is one of the main elements of the women's wardrobe, fashion designers are constantly adding new models to the variety of types. All skirts can be conditionally classified according to three parameters - shape, style, length. Varieties of skirts in shape

All existing forms can be reduced to a few basic ones:

straight - can be tight and loose;

What are the skirts in length

There are five main types:

Midi - products of average length to the middle of a shin.
Maxi - can be ankle-length or floor-length.

Skirts of different lengths are suitable for different shapes and sizes. There are several universal rules on how to choose the right model. First of all, it is important that the skirt does not end at a wide leg. The ideal length is measured by this formula - height in shoes divided by the universal number 1.618. The result should be subtracted from shoulder level. This will result in the optimal length corresponding to the rules of the golden section.

Skirt styles

There are such options:

Pencil - fitted and tapered model. Great for office, formal occasions, holidays. The pencil skirt looks simple but effective, emphasizing all the feminine lines.
Bell - the model which is flared to a bottom which is not constraining movements. She looks elegant, airy, incredibly feminine. This style is versatile and suitable for both office bow and everyday wear.
On the smell - in itself is a bright accent in the image, as it looks stylish, unusual, spectacular. Does not require additional accessories or a challenging top.
Pleated - pleated model. It can be of any length, from mini to maxi, it is sewn from different materials, light and more dense. Given the “festive” look of the skirt, the top with the set should be as simple as possible.
With a slit - one or more, side, front or back. With such a style, one should be careful - it is worth overdoing it a little and the image will turn from elegant into vulgar.
The sun - a product from a single round piece of fabric, without seams. Can be long, midi or short. She does not constrain movements, looks spectacular and romantic. This style suits girls with all body types.
